Imagine if...

Imagine you are free

Imagine right this moment that you are free. The limitations you've imposed on yourself have dropped away. The disappointments of your past no longer hold you down. The opinions of others cannot stand in your way any more.

Imagine that you are free to focus on creating a better life for yourself and for the world in which you live. Though there are difficult challenges, rather than wasting your energy worrying about or fighting them, you use that energy to work your way through them.

Imagine that you are free of failure. Each setback is nothing more than a stepping stone on the sure and steady path to ultimate success. You are free to achieve whatever you choose to achieve, to live in the way you choose to live, to become the person you choose to become.

Imagine you are free, and you are. Truly imagine you are on the path of success, and you are. Imagine it with your most deeply held passion, and it is so.

I'm not a real big fan of the term, "positive thinking will get you anywhere" because it won't. Positive thinking will not get you anywhere! But this entry by Mr. Marston is significant in that it inspires us to imagine a life without baggage. His message is one of inner peace and one that can change a persons whole outlook on life.

Imagine all you want and you won't be free from failure, free from limitations, free from worry or simply free. However, cleaning your closet of things that take positive energy away from yourself is a good thing. Letting go of things that cannot be changed, changing the things that can and then moving forward is a much better plan than allowing the negative things to hold you down or worse pull you back.

Imagine if... yeah it's a nice concept but unless one is prepared to just let those negative things go and move on, imagining is nothing more than a mental exercise of futility.

Learning from my mistakes, living within my limitations, understanding the things that disappoint me are important, but allowing those things to prevent me from moving forward achieves nothing.

Learning from my mistakes helps prevent me from repeating them. Understanding my limitations helps me see the areas I need to improve. Remembering the pain caused by unfortunate events in my life help me prepare, protect and defend myself from putting myself in those situations in the future.

However, one must get up, dust himself on and move on and not allow the people, events, mistakes, memories and other speed bumps of life to take away the passion that is life. The passion that inspires, motivates, improves and achieve all that is possible.

Imagine you are free and you are free in your little dream world. Do the things that make you free and at the very least, you are on a real journey to freedom. I would much rather be on the journey to freedom than to be sitting still imagining if.

Freedom... make it so!
