Pencil Stubs, Of Mettle and Metals
I have been published by an international literary magazine for the past few months. My most recent article was published today and has been in the works for several weeks. Most of my submissions to that magazine have been very lengthy and about my personal changes, growth and challenges this year. This month's is actually a shortened version and thanks to the publisher, reads better than I could have hoped.
It finishes with this... "I have many more dreams waiting to be brought to the anvil. Right now they are unformed bars of metal that need to be heated and hammered into another work of art. The metal is there to be used when we have enough fuel for the fires and enough energy to hammer out the details. The tools are there; the experience is there; but now is the time for patience as we put a finish on the current project, adding a few carvings on the handle and to enjoy our handy work. When the time is right, we will tap the experience from this one and make the ones that follow even better."
