I received this in the mail this morning and I feel compelled to share. I have been observing this election cycle with great interest and observing the ways different candidates employ marketing, advertising and public relations techniques. Judge Buchanon has been sharing some of the "inside" viewpoints with me as well. In that this is my personal blog and I'm sharing my personal opinion, I feel it is appropriate that I share that I stand behind Mike and all that he has accomplished for our area. I am confident that he will continue to lead through honor, integrity and hard work.

Many people believe that I carry the Republican banner no matter what. Good friends have made comments that I would vote republican no matter who was running. Even though I will be voting for Mike Buchanon and Ron Lewis, is is an incorrect assumption that I do so just because they are GOP. I will be voting for at least one Democrat and support another who is a good friend. Rob Wilkey is another example of a Democrat I not only support, but also work for. It's not a matter of party lines... it's a matter of good policy and what I think is the best choice for our area.

Thanks Mike!! Thanks for all you have done for Warren County, thanks for helping me see more clearly what it is like running for office and thank you for your friendship.

My opponent has been doing allot of mud-slinging the last few weeks!

Based on the substance of his misleading and false personal attacks, I am not surprised that he got his friends to form a "Good Citizens..." group to try to attack me anonymously! They must have been surprised to find out that Harold had asked them to do something illegal?

He has even sent out letters implying WKU Alumni endorsements! And doing so, threatened Western's non taxable status, and putting their 300 million dollar annual budget at risk. He said he didn't know? Careless? or Reckless disregard?  *****************

And NOW he has sent out "Reminder Postcards" to church and other organizations' membership lists, using other people's names within that church on the return addresses, and faking their signatures, and printing on the card that the sender had paid for the mailing! (well that's technically true, since Harold IS the sender). It may surprise you to know that several if not MOST of the people who supposedly sent, signed, and paid for those post cards that you received, DID NOT even know or approve it, or pay for it! Mail Fraud? Forgery? or just an abuse of his friends? **************

It has been a real test to keep turning the other cheek, but I have tried my best to remain positive throughout the campaign, just talking about my record, and issues that are important to you;.... roads, parks, law enforcement, fire protection, insurance costs, safer schools, higher paying jobs, and keeping your county tax rate low!

I appreciate your continued support, and with your VOTE, I will continue to work hard to merit your trust and friendship. With your help, we can continue to move Warren County in the right direction.
