In the United States, four airliners were hijacked and intentionally crashed by terrorists later linked to Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda organization. Two airliners hit New York City's World Trade Center towers; both towers collapsed shortly thereafter. A third airliner hit the Pentagon building in Washington, DC, and a fourth crashed into a field in Pennsylvania when passengers bravely attempted to overtake the terrorists onboard. While this mostly applies to those of us in the USA, today is a significant day of remembrance. It's a day that will not be soon forgotten. It's a day when horror and terror came together and many innocent people died. May we remember the day.
